New Signage Proposal
THE ACCESS PROJECT
The last remaining project of the Lancing Business Park BID as set out in the Business Plan 2008 – 2013 to be fulfilled is the Access project which is all about the direction signs around the park and inconsiderate vehicle parking.
West Sussex County Council highways have already carried out an assessment of the parking restrictions on the park and the revised orders have now been agreed by council. Yellow lines will be appearing on the roads soon although we are hoping that the roads will be resurfaced prior to the lines being painted. This leaves the issues surrounding directional information and making it easier for clients, customers, visitors and delivery companies to find their way quickly and easily to their destination.
There have been previous attempts to solve this issue and proposals have been drawn up in the past in an attempt to provide a simple and uncomplicated solution, but the layout of the business park and the way that it has evolved over the years provides a difficult challenge in this respect.
The revision of the postal addresses, now being tackled by the local council, has opened the way to develop a signage scheme that appears to offer the required solution that has been sought.
Working with local company Tara Signs, a proposal has been drawn up and can be found on this tab. This will now be carried forward and further developed by a newly formed working group in conjunction with the work undertaken by the council on the postal addresses.
Any suggestions, comments or questions can be e mailed to me at

There will be quite a lot of consultation taking place over the coming weeks and further updates will be published on this website.
